The interiors of units
During the construction of the chalets we made a conscious decision to always have the best quality fittings available at the time. The beds are superior quality units that are used in many of the 5 star establishments in Tasmania and the mainland.
The beds are fitted with electric blankets and reading lights. Comfortable tub chairs have been included along with table and chairs for meals. The cooking facilities consist of the usual tea and coffee appliances, along with an electric fry-pan and a steamer. All crockery and cutlery that is in each will go with the sale. The carpets are pure wool and meet the standard required under the "Australian Building Code" for an occupancy certificate from the council. Before designing the complex we looked at many B&B's and talked to many people about their expectations from an accommodation house. We have incorporated these ideas into the units design.
This complex is NOT a tea cosy and doily B & B. Great thought has gone into the operational side of this business such as cleaning, maintenance and of course privacy for the owners. The managers or owner's accommodation is separate to the chalet complex.
Bathroom showing the double spa.
The bathrooms have followed the same principals for cleaning and maintenance as the bedroom and kitchens. The double spa units have the usual maintenance schedule and all the fittings were of the best quality available. This was designed as a couples retreat and the double spa is a real treat for them and gets great comments from all who have had a lost weekend down here.
The Chalet consisting of 4 units and restaurant.
The Oyster Cove Chalet is a 4 star rated complex with the Automobile association of Australia (AAA) and has tourism accreditation with the Tourism Council of Australia and Tasmania.
The Chalet has 3 Queen units, with corner spa within their self contained bathrooms. The 4th unit has been designed with the expressed purpose for our elderly and disabled guests. It meets all the criteria for registration as a disabled unit. The bathroom for this unit has no bath but plenty of room for wheel chairs
All our units are equipped with cooking facilities and have there own Bar-B-Q on the veranda. All rooms are fitted with reverse cycle air-conditioning, electric blankets, reading lights and all the essentials one needs for a self contained holiday. An inventory of all the chattels is available from the agents.
The restaurant and conference centre is also within this building and has a new commercial kitchen. This kitchen is registered with the Kingborough council and conforms to the Health and food act. Again the chattels list is available.
